Lois originally trained as an artist, and after owning a much-loved fashion boutique in the Victorian seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, she enrolled at Bristol School of Art to learn traditional goldsmithing techniques, before launching her eponymous jewellery label in 2010.
Each tiny treasure is thoughtfully created by Lois in her Somerset studio. Although she works in both silver and gold Lois has long had an abiding love of silver, its ethereal magical quality is steeped in history and myth, and the majority of her designs are crafted in 100% recycled sterling silver.
Born of a Romantic sensibility fused with an organic, rustic style, Lois produces slow jewellery, revealing the hand of the maker. Variations in line and surface texture tell little stories and create a sense of everyday magic and beauty, to continually enchant the wearer.
